Sports Competitions

BAWA hosts popular knockout competitions for a variety of sports from football to rounders, and volleyball to cricket. You can enter teams of colleagues or friends to take on the other challengers in the fight for glory.

It is easy to follow your team and find out how the competition is doing from the table below. There are trophies to be won and the happy faces of the winning teams will be put on the website for all to admire!

Competition dates and application

The registration fee for non-football competitions is £2.50 per player for each competition while the registration fee for the 5 a side and 11-a-side football competitions is £3 per player. This fee includes match fees, sandwiches, trophies, payment of officials and equipment where necessary.

Please note there is no limit to the number of players allowed to register for your team, though they must each pay the required registration fee.

Non-BAWA members are able to take part in all competitions. To fulfil BAWA membership requirements, the registration fee paid by each player for a competition will confer temporary membership on the days when that competition takes place for the duration of the competition. This will be strictly enforced to ensure each person playing is registered to the team and has paid the registration fee.

Medals/trophies will be awarded on the night of each final.

How to register

Registration forms for each competition can be collected from BAWA Sports Reception or be obtained by phoning Julian on 0117 976 8065, RR 96160, Airbus 64642 or email eventsandsport@bawabristol.org.

Registration forms and player fees must be sent to the leisure centre by the closing date published for each competition - late entries cannot be accepted as the competitions must start on the dates organised. Cheques are accepted and should be made payable to 'BAWA', Credit cards and cash also accepted.
