BAWA have recently assisted with funding nurses for the children’s hospice SOUTH WEST.

We have donated £1,000 to help towards funding nurses’ salary. This will assist caring for children with life limiting illnesses for respite or end of life care, within the hospice.

Nurses are assigned to families during and between their stay at the hospice, keeping up to date with medical needs, acting as a listening ear, ensuring families have access to all services available to them.

This enables mum and dad, brothers and sisters that stay at Charlton Farm to have the chance to be themselves again, and not just carers, catching up on much needed sleep and family time.

It costs around £30,000 each year to fund a nurse at one of our hospices.

BAWA have been pleased to contribute £1,000 towards this ongoing appeal contributing towards nurses in 2018.
